One Queen Keeper Components Kit

Assembly of the kit was simple and straightforward. Installed a nuc from Texas Bee Supply with no problems while sitting on a stool. After loosing my apiary last spring to a flood of Red River near Marietta Oklahoma just below the McGehee Catfish Restaurant. I designed and constructed a covered raised platform. The Keepers Hive is sitting on plastic pallets allowing me to lift the hives with the forks of my front end loader onto a trailer so in the event of another flood the apiary can be moved via trailer to higher ground until the water subsides.
So far the bees are doing well and expanding rapidly. I’ve already performed one demaree and was able to easily find the queen, knowing that she was definitely located in the bottom box.

The one queen keepers hive is amazing and the components kit has everything you need to have a complete set up. I can’t wait until spring to use it!!

Extremely solid construction. Good quality wood, excellent joints. Very good instructions, and very easy to assemble with a minimum of tools or know how. Very impressed that nails are included, with enough extra that you don't have to panic if you lose one on your shop floor. A very high-quality product.

Delivery was fast, and customer service is outstanding!

We are new to bee keeping, and haven't actually bought bees yet. That will be in the spring, so cannot review performance yet.

I like the concept of the hive and it was pretty easy to assemble. I don’t like having the queen excluder on so I took it off and put the top cover in its place. I put a syrup jar in the hole in the cover.For some reason the bees aren’t pulling syrup from this like they do on my other hives. They are drawing comb through and the queen is laying, so time will tell. I’m on the fence as to whether this is a gimmick or an innovation.
